Both of the tracks on this EP have very contrasting elements and surprising arrangements combining e.g. piano harmonies with dark aggressive alarm-signals. Think thriller meets drama. We will not tell you more. André Lodemann told me that "Where are you now" fits nicely into the Ricardo Villalobos mix of the Carl Craig/Moritz von Oswald Recomposed. Nathalie Claude (with Charles Webster Remixes) |  This is the first release on the Berlin-based imprint Best Works Records. Best Works Records is a collaboration between the producer and Dj Andre Lodemann and the A&R and Promoter Daniel W. Best also known for his work with Jazzanova and Best Seven Records.
The track „Searchin“ had a long journey to reach its present state. Originally Lodemann created the track together with Daniel Ramm from Pikaya as a moody down-tempo album track. Later he recoginzed the tracks potential transforming it into a more uptempo dance track with a housy feel.
Nathalie Claude, a swiss jazz-singer, lent her voice and lyrics to the production. The trained vocalist met Andre through a mutual friend.
Andre Lodemanns original version combines analog warmth with electronic production. Charles Webster a long time contact from Daniels event-business and a favorite remixer delivers the remix. Again a typical Charles Webster mix interesting usage of vocals, deep hypnotic bass.
